**Marvel Rivals ** has a full roster of your favorite characters, and Iron Man is one of them. He has been available in all of the early access versions of the game and is slated to be in the upcoming closed Beta as well. He has a lot of good abilities and is a good hero to pilot for beginners.

As one of the many characters already confirmed for Marvel Rivals before launch, Iron Man is shaping to be quite the fun character to play. While he does not seem to be S-tier at the moment, his abilities could be tweaked before launch, and with the right strategy, he can become quite prolific. Therefore, here are some tips and tricks to give Iron Man the best chance possible to win.

Iron Man Abilities

Blasts and Overdrives

Iron Man has the usual roster of abilities, mainly focusing on his blasters and flying capability . He is one of the heroes who can stay in the air for most of the game , and his blasters can be long or short-ranged.

You can see all these abilities in action in the video from Always Gametime . As these abilities are all based on a Closed Alpha test before the Closed Beta of marvel rivals Arena site Rivals begins, they are all subject to change before the game's full launch.

Iron Man Ultimate

Invincible Pulse Canon

Iron Man's ultimate move is the Invincible Pulse Canon. Its description reads: Fire a devastating pulse canon in the targeted direction, delivering catastrophic damage to the targeted area upon impact.

It is a single-charged shot that does a large amount of damage in an AOE effect . This can cause a devastating blow to your opponent’s team and is a simpler ultimate to wrap your head around. Overall, Iron Man is a fairly easy hero to understand, but one that can do much damage and constantly harass your enemies .

Iron Man Tips & Tricks

Long-Range Flyer

Iron Man’s two main weapons will be your primary source of damage, and it is important to know how to use them correctly. His Repulsor Blast will fire shots at opponents at quite a long range , making it easier to do damage from afar. Repulsor Blast also has its own slight AOE effect , although it is not nearly as powerful as his ultimate. This is good because Iron Man’s health is not quite what the other heroes have.

Both types of weapons can be used in the air , although he cannot use his weapons while using the Hyper-Velocity. You can end Hyper-Velocity as desired and let it recharge. Iron Man’s Unibeam cannot hit from as far away, although it still has a mid-range amount of damage. Iron Man likes to be at a fair range from his enemies , as this lets him keep cover and deal damage.

Toward the end, if your team is winning and cleaning up fairly well, Iron Man can take point and lead from the front . His flying ability keeps him out of melee-range attacks, and he can swoop forward if necessary. The Repulsor Blast AOE can also allow you to shoot near an enemy without aiming directly. Your Armor Overdrive makes both weapons stronger and slightly different than before .

Likewise, his Micro-Missile Barrage cannot be aimed at specific enemies, but it sends out a random barrage in the direction Iron Man is facing . This makes it very useful in crowded situations but less useful against single opponents. Iron Man will want to be a little closer to the main action of using this one, but you can use your Hyper-Velocity to swoop in, unleash it, and continue without stopping.

Iron Man needs some cover to protect him from being immediately countered, so staying at range is typically better unless your team has a numbers advantage. This will keep you from being taken out, and you can still add significantly to the mission from a further position. Having Hulk on your team is also an advantage due to the team-up skill, but you usually cannot control who your teammates play as.

P unisher and Hela are also Iron Man’s main counters in Marvel Rivals . Punisher is a good counter because of his ranged DPS abilities, allowing him to deal massive damage faster. He also has grenades and can generate turrets. Likewise, Hela can also take down enemies at range with her knife-throwing skills. She also can fly herself by using her shapeshifting abilities . This makes her a threat to Iron Man, and you should be wary of both characters.

Iron Man may not be the strongest character in _Marvel Rivals , _ but he is a fun character with strong abilities despite appearing simpler. As long as you are aware of some of his weaknesses, you can overcome them in other ways. With that and knowing when to use your abilities, you can overcome these challenges and thrive as Iron Man.
